Montana and the surrounding region have some of the most diverse and pristine ecosystems in North America, including the Crown Jewel of the Continent, Glacier National Park. Due to steadfast conservation efforts during the past century, many of these fragile ecosystems are also some of America’s most unspoiled natural areas outside of Alaska.
The continued preservation of bird habitat in this awe-inspiring region is vital to ensure that healthy populations of resident, breeding, wintering, and migrating bird species are sustainable. WIN is dedicated to furthering this effort and wishes to applaud our like-minded conservation partners for their significant commitment to do likewise.

“We strive to pass on our cherished lands legacy to our children and grandchildren. This legacy is the beautiful tapestry of the Flathead’s lakes, rivers, farms and forests, all vital to our common natural heritage. These endowments are fundamental to the “Flathead Way of Life,” to our sense of place and of ourselves in this place, as well as to our community’s prosperity and economic vitality. Flathead Land Trust wants to ensure that generations to come will have opportunities similar to ours to live, work and play on this rich land.”
